One gift stitched, one hammered, one woven.

1. my favorite cardigan.

2. the roof over my head.

3. the best blanket ever, not exactly woven, but still amazing.

1. noticed something shiny on the floor-my earrings.

2. giggling while bending and flailing about trying to play the wii dance game.

3. on my knees lighting the candles in the fire place and the coziness they brought to the room.

1. A handmade birthday card from a friend.

2. A yellow print that says "I feel my Savior's Love"

3. Emailing a family to tell them that the paperwork has been submitted for them to adopt their child.

1. giggling coming from the hallway. what about? probably boys.

2. one line from a conversation, "the Lord is good."

3. hudson calling out for "paaapaaaa," to come save him from the bedtime mama monster.

Joy Dare: Day 1

If you have a pulse, you've probably heard about the book/blog/challenge of One Thous*nd Gifts. I love the concept and really want to read the book. I have wanted to start my list of 1,000 things, but have found it a little overwhelming, so I've never started. Which is silly because I just need to start with one thing; that's not overwhelming, I can do that. So, I will. I will start with the February challenge found here:

Today is February 1st. Surely there are 3 things I am thankful for today...

A gift found at 11:30, 2:30 and 6:30. go.

1. 11:30...1st birthday card of the year received from a family I am working with as they get so close to completing the marathon called adoption.

2. 2:30...turning the lights off in our office and working by lamplight. Its almost 70 degrees today and our office is confused. and really hot, but its 70 degrees in February!

3. 6:30...driving from work to Tr*der Joes, talking to my dad about what's for dinner. him: leftovers. me: whichever microwavable creation from TJ's strikes my fancy. lovemydad.

I think I'm hooked. Starting was the hardest part; now only 997 to go. This is easy. See you tomorrow!
